Within Part of the Piece, I work as a maker and photographer on projects that allow for more time and depth. There is space for research, meaning, and collaboration, and for images that do not only show, but also open something. Photography with attention My way of working is simple and clear. I work in two ways, depending on what the moment calls for. At times I work warm and documentary. Handheld, in motion, as if I am part of the space or the group. This approach results in images that feel open, human, and unforced. At other moments I work in a controlled and directed way. With tripod and light, with attention to composition, calm, and detail. Binnen Part of the Piece werk ik als maker en fotograaf aan projecten met meer tijd en verdieping. Hier is ruimte voor onderzoek, betekenis en samenwerking, en voor beelden die niet alleen laten zien, maar ook iets openen. Fotografie met aandacht Mijn manier van fotograferen is eenvoudig en helder. Ik werk op twee manieren, afhankelijk van wat het moment vraagt. Soms fotografeer ik warm en documentair. Uit de hand, in beweging, alsof ik onderdeel ben van de ruimte of de groep. Deze manier van werken levert beelden op die open, menselijk en ongeforceerd aanvoelen. Op andere momenten werk ik gecontroleerd en geregisseerd. Met statief en licht, met aandacht voor compositie, rust en detail. Dit resulteert in statige, precieze beelden met een duidelijke vorm en aanwezigheid. Deze twee manieren van werken pas ik toe zowel in de studio als op locatie. Contact Rein Langeveld
